So May is over, and therefore here's again a look back on the month in Instagram pictures. Als always, if you'd like to follow me, you can find me here:

May was a lovely month (even if you could not say the same about the weather a lot of the time) and extremely full. I went on two trips in that time, once to Berlin which was very exciting, and also to the Elfquest convention, a big gathering of Elfquest fans from all German-speaking countries, which I do (almost) every year and which just means "home away from home" for me. There, I also had the chance to prove my cooking skills for a whole bunch of people since we cooked our food ourselves this time. There were no extraordinary skills on display (and even though a friend and I were in the kitchen for almost every meal, I didn't cook every time) but down-to-earth, simple and fast fare for many mouths, but it definitely was an experience! I also made a great tomato-onion bread one evening for the barbecue which absolutely needs to be repeated and blogged about :). In between of all of that, work was stressful, unfortunately, but overall it was a good month. Nevertheless I'm looking forward to June being more peaceful!

Sweet treats for a gaming day: brioches (recipe to follow ;)) / Mandatory shot to prove that I was in Berlin / Cute little shop with lots of unusual Berlin souvenirs - how about a TV tower pepper mill, for example?
In Berlin I tried macarons for the first time and have to admit that I can't really understand why everyone and their uncle adores them ... They sure are cute but for me they are too sweet and insubstantial. / Pink T-shirts in the park: Prior to the Avon run I met some WW girls for a few nice hours. / And that's it again: Empty platform in the morning.
I brought back those neat new shoes from Berlin! / A bit of creativity in the evening: Sketches for the Sketchfest. The sketch of Isabella probably deserves to be coloured :). / Sewing for the world of two moons: Two moons, what else?

Finally: the first affordable, tasty strawberries of the year! / And it's asparagus time. Strangely enough I used to dislike it but now I really like it. / Finally took the time for green mud - henna is strange stuff but the result is worth it.

Home away from home for four days - like every so often, we met in a castle, this time near Pforzheim. / I visited the Dutch fabric market for the first time! We were lucky with regard to the weather, and so there were a lot of people about. / The haul: only small pieces - four fat quarters, two half-meter pieces (I love the teabag fabric!), a layer cake and two small pieces of leather.

So that was my May. As I said above, I hope June will be calmer but of course I'm also hoping for a lot of lovely moments. There is nothing special planned, so I'll just see how it goes :).
And how was your May? What are your expectations or plans for June?
